[CENTRAL TEXAS, MAY, 2, 2022] — One hundred and fifty-four Austin and San Antonio -area real estate agents have been selected as Award Winning Agents™ for 2022. Collectively the entire field of Award Winning Agents™ reported over $3.5 Billion in residential sales and closed 6,742 residential properties as reported to PT50®.
Each year, Platinum Top 50® invites Austin and San Antonio-area real estate agents specializing in residential transactions to apply for local recognition. The applications are then evaluated and ranked on the following weighted criteria: 60% sales production, 25% civic leadership and 15% industry involvement.
In October of 2021, the names of local semifinalists were announced. Then, in December, Award Ceremonies were held in Austin and San Antonio to recognize the recipients before an audience of over one-thousand industry professionals.
Three hundred and twenty agents qualified for 2022 PT50® recognition; and of that, 154 joined the Central Texas Network of Award Winning Agents™ powered by PT50®.
The surge of relocations to Texas fueled a housing and real estate boom in 2021. On average, each Austin member had $32.6 million in total closed sales compared to $15.8 million for San Antonio members, as reported to PT50. A mere 60 miles separate Austin and San Antonio, yet the cost of living varies considerably. For example, among the 2022 Austin members, the average price of a home sold was $686,010 compared to $391,339.00 for San Antonio members.
The Award Winning Agents™ of 2022 includes 81 members from the San Antonio- area and 73 members from the Austin- area with representation from 58 different brokerages.
